Solitaire Engagement Platinum
My platinum ring is easy to see yellow, how can that happen?
I have my engagement ring a week ago. My friend and I have it together by a reputable Jeweler. It is a Platinum Solitaire. the prongs to hold the diamonds, and fancy swirl around the diamond. However, the inside of the teeth look slightly yellow, mild that no one but me seems to be able to see except under a magnifying glass. However, it makes the diamond look slightly yellow at the edges, and that annoys me. I wonder what could be the cause of this discoloration. I've tried cleaning with normal store bought jewelry cleaner, but that has not helped. I'm nervous about going back to the store, so would really like your help.
Perhaps the ring made of platinum and the prongs are white gold or nickel.
